We love our Planet, we commit ourselves.

Square.Cube is a 3D Rendering studio, we work in a virtual world to bring your project to life.
But we also think it is important to take care of the real world while we’re at it.
That is why we will plant 1 tree for each image we make for you.

Why we should plant trees

The tree is the symbol of biodiversity. Its trunk, its branches, its leaves, its flowers, its fruits present a multitude of potential niches that animals, insects and plants will be able to colonize.

This biodiversity is today more than threatened. The causes are multiple: fragmentation, disappearance or progressive degradation of natural environments and habitats, overexploitation of resources, pollution of water, air or soil, introduction of alien invasive species and climate change.

For many of these problems, planting trees is an essential part of the solution. Even if the tree is a victim of global warming, it is also a solution against it. Indeed, trees suck carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and reverse global warming.

The tree is a bulwark against climate change. It reduces erosion phenomena. It protects water resources and freezes certain historical pollution. It preserves and enhances biodiversity by increasing ecological continuity. The tree promotes the infiltration of rainwater and limits the impact of floods. It is an essential part of our living environment, our landscapes and our cultures. It can generate new economic activities. In addition, the tree is a teaching aid to inform the inhabitants of the environmental situation and enable them to take concrete action in favor of the environment.

Our Tree-Nation Commitment

null

At Square.Cube, we think it is important to take care of our planet and respect it. That’s why we commit with our partner Tree-Nation to plant one tree for every image we make for your projects.

When we receive confirmation of payment of our bill, you will receive an email from Tree-Nation with the title “Square.Cube offered you (x) tree(s) on Tree-Nation“.

The email will contain a link that will take you to our Tree-Nation Forest where you can plant your tree.

Once you have planted your tree, you can leave us a message, find out more about the tree species you have planted, their CO2 compensation and the plantation project you have helped.

You can also download your own planting certificate with all the informations about the planted tree and the associated reforestation project.

What is Tree-Nation?

Tree-Nation is a community solution to climate change. Tree-Nation offers citizens around the world the opportunity to plant trees from the comfort of their home. Each planted tree has its virtual companion on Tree-Nation. Virtual trees can be dedicated to your important moments and shared with your friends while real trees fight against deforestation and climate change.

About Tree-Nation’s CO2 Neutral Label

The smart label for a CO2-neutral website

Why it’s important to offset websites’ emissions?

Every year, a website releases several kilograms of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. When a website is used, data is transferred to and processed in remote servers. The electricity consumed by these servers and by our computers accounts for 2% of the world’s air pollution, as much as the airline industry!

For this reason, our partner Tree-Nation has developed a “CO2 neutral label”, a simple tool that allows to make any website CO2 neutral.

How does the label work / Tree-Nation’s label technology?

The Tree-Nation label algorithm allows them to obtain an accurate estimation of the emissions of any website that uses this label. Tree-Nation bases its calculations on the Alexander Wissner-Gross’ study which estimates 0.02g of CO2 emitted per web page displayed. The CO2 Neutral Label, when placed in a website footer, counts the web pages displayed and then calculates the CO2 emissions by multiplying the number of pages displayed by 0.02g.

Once Tree-Nation knows how much CO2 a website is emitting, the system automatically calculates the trees that need to be planted to compensate that amount and this information is transmitted to the planters along with the funds required to plant the tree.

Keeping track of our website’s impact

You can consult our CO2 compensation statistics of our website by clicking on the Neutral CO2 label at the bottom of the page.
